The Basson B112 Guitar Cabinet produces as much volume as many 2-12" extension cabs. It shares the same speaker as Basson's 4x12 only with a 75W power rating. The difference is in the box. The enclosure's joints and speakers are silicone sealed to obtain consistent air volume. This creates an air spring that the speakers respond to with less distortion at high volume levels. Other cabs "Woofing" is caused by distorted low end, which is inevitable for unsealed or open-back cabinets (the speaker travels too far when driven). Consequently, clear mids and clean highs cannot be produced while the speaker is struggling. Basson Sound has solved that problem. 5/8-inch MDF is used for subtle resonant qualities that minimize sound coloration.
